REVEREND COURTNEY CLAYTON JENKINS is a modern mystic, wanderlust, innovator, and storyteller who serves as the senior pastor and teacher of South Euclid United Church of Christ. With a deep commitment to authenticity, she facilitates not just a church but a sacred community of individuals on a transformative journey with God.
Courtney is passionate about community building and social justice. She serves as a consistent encourager to those oppressed by systems not designed for their freedom, using her weekly sermons to embrace humanity, solidify dignity, and provide people with principles that break patterns restricting the abundant life promised in John 10:10. She often preaches on trauma and breaking cycles of responses to trauma that keep individuals from experiencing the fullness of life Jesus promised.
As an award-winning filmmaker, Courtney curates experiences that foster vulnerable discussions and captures these encounters on film. Her notable works include "In to the Water," which bridges Christianity and Balinese Hinduism, "Come to the Table," which unites corporate women and clergy, and "Living Testament with Dr. Edgar Jackson," which explores the intersection of joy and grief. Currently, she is working on "Blended by Grace," a project examining the African-American family and the LGBTQ community within the historical Black church.
Courtney’s work breaks limits and expands the understanding of what is limitless. She inspires others to unlock their own interior, seeing God in new and profound ways. Through her multifaceted ministry, Courtney invites everyone to experience the divine in everyday life, fostering a community of justice, compassion, and authentic connection.
